I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
